Planting 90 Trees in Golden Gate Park

Plans are “growing” in our beloved Golden Gate Park. What’s happening? Think: Magnolia, Campbelli, Ginko Biloba, Cupressus Macroparca, Aristolchia California...among many other magnificent tree species to be planted in Golden Gate Park this Spring. This is the time of year, with the earth soaking up the much hoped for rains, the plans to continue the greening of our iconic greensward are becoming a reality.

The SFGC has firmly committed time and resources to make the Planting of 90 Trees for our 90th Anniversary; it's the beginning of a legacy that will continue to live into perpetuity. In addition to planting 90 trees this year, the club is discussing the possibility of continuing this stewardship as a major component of our vision and mission far into the future.
